The Humanities Faculty embrace diversity by offering students a chance to discover the world around them and the nature of the people with whom they share the world. These disciplines also offer students the skills needed to communicate clearly and effectively with that world. Further, the Humanities faculty supports studies in students' first languages through the Open High School and the International Baccalaureate.
Humanities students embrace opportunities to use their knowledge in community service campaigns, primary school visits, writing competitions, debating, speech competitions, Model United Nations and overseas trips to China and Japan.
The Humanities faculty pursues excellence through challenging courses across the disciplines. Students have the opportunity to engage with work at a high level and explore complex and thought provoking texts through literature, History, Philosophy and LOTE. Further, the International Baccalaureate program is offered in English, History and languages, ensuring that an international standard for excellence is a point of reference in all our work.
