The Physical Education faculty at Canberra College offers students a diverse range of opportunities to study at the tertiary level in both Exercise Science and Sports Studies as well as at the accredited level in Physical Education, Sports Science , Sports Development and Outdoor Education.
Students are encouraged to pursue excellence in their chosen sport through support from the Canberra College Sports Academy program, including gym membership through a partnership with Elite Physique . Some of our students have gone on to represent Australia, including Erin Walters who competed at the Paralympics in 2012.All students are encouraged to embrace sporting opportunities through participation in a wide range of sports on offer throughout the year.
The Physical Education faculty celebrates diversity and caters for all students including international students and also offers female student's body fit classes. Studying in the Sports Studies area students are given the opportunity to build valuable leadership skills through the completion of nationally recognised certificates in sports coaching, through partnerships with local primary schools.
Outdoor Education provides opportunities for students to participate in a wide range of activities in diverse environments, including snow, surf and bush.
