Student Enrichment Program
The Student Enrichment Program (STEP) is a way of acknowledging students who participate in enrichment activities as part of their college education experience. Students are awarded enrichment credits for participation in activities that require more than the standard in-class time. These activities are built into many subjects across all faculty areas, some with an academic focus and others with a sporting or citizenship focus. Students are encouraged to build up enrichment credits across a variety of faculty areas. 100 credits in a minimum of 4 categories entitle the student to a special certificate at graduation. This certificate is an excellent addition to a CV, resume for employment or application for further study.

Why would I participate?
This program formally recognises students for participating in a variety of enrichment activities. These are activities that students enjoy or are a part of their normal course work anyway. Formal recognition means that you get a certificate at graduation which will enhance your prospects for employment, training or further education. It gives you an edge!

How do I participate?
STEP activities are found across faculty areas. All you need to do is see the STEP Coordinator to enrol and to update your enrichment account as you go. You have two years to reach 100 enrichment credits.

How are credits awarded?
Credits are awarded based on the time commitment involved in each activity or program. 100 enrichment credits may consist of between 5 to 10 enrichment activities in a minimum of 4 categories.
How do I know what activities are available?
Activities are available across all faculty areas. Refer to the table below for an indication of the types of activities available.
